Civil Service Council: Vote for These

The Civil Service Council announced in a statement the "opening of applications to fill the position of full-time president of the Public Procurement Authority and the position of full-time member of the authority (4 positions), from 15/5/2026 through 5/6/2026 inclusive," calling on "Lebanese citizens with the required specialization and competence who meet the stipulated conditions to submit their nomination applications within the specified deadline on the official website of the Civil Service Council, noting that applications submitted by hand or otherwise will not be accepted."

The statement noted that "this announcement comes as a first step toward forming the Public Procurement Authority, which is an independent administrative body established under Law No. 244 dated 19/7/2021. It is tasked with regulating, supervising and monitoring public procurement, developing its procedures, systems and performance, coordinating among the various procuring entities, and providing them with technical support and guidance. Those who occupy the presidency and membership of the authority will undertake key responsibilities in developing the public procurement system, shaping its policies, strengthening governance and compliance, keeping pace with digital transformation, and contributing to the modernization of its legal and regulatory framework."

It added: "The announcement set out the general and specific conditions that candidates must meet, most notably holding a master's degree in one of the specializations specified in the text, and having documented practical experience of no less than 10 years in the field of public procurement, in addition to a number of additional qualifications and experiences that constitute added value, particularly leadership or oversight experience."

The council stressed "the need for candidates to fully meet all the required conditions and to prepare a file containing documents proving their academic qualifications and professional experience," calling on "those wishing to apply to review the text of the two announcements published on its official website https://portal.csb.gov.lb/ar/FirstCategory/Default and to comply with all the conditions and procedures specified therein."
