Official Lebanese sources said the state is not moving to halt the ongoing negotiation process, unless the American side requests it, a possibility considered unlikely at the current stage, noting that the continuation of this track remains contingent on developments in the military and political situation.

In the same context, diplomatic sources said the ongoing military escalation is negatively affecting the negotiation track, arguing that Israel is seeking to entrench facts on the ground that strengthen its negotiating position, while some escalatory moves by Hezbollah are being read as an attempt to pressure the Lebanese state to withdraw from the negotiation process, which could open the door to broader regional roles in the ceasefire file in Lebanon.
