Fifteen Arab and Islamic countries, including Lebanon, condemn the opening of a "Somaliland" embassy in occupied Jerusalem and consider it a violation of international law

The foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Qatar, Jordan, Turkey, Pakistan, Indonesia, Djibouti, the Federal Republic of Somalia, Palestine, the Sultanate of Oman, Sudan, Yemen, Lebanon, and Mauritania expressed their strong condemnation of what they described as an illegal and unacceptable step, namely the announcement by the so-called region of “Somaliland” of the opening of an alleged “embassy” in the occupied city of Jerusalem.

The ministers stressed that this step constitutes a flagrant violation of international law and relevant international legitimacy resolutions, and directly undermines the legal and historical status of occupied Jerusalem, according to a statement by the Saudi Foreign Ministry.
