The only solution to the situation Lebanon is facing is to achieve a ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon, followed by direct negotiations between the two sides. I have conducted, and continue to conduct, intensive international contacts in this regard. This proposal is receiving significant international support and has begun to gain positive momentum in international political circles.
I have said it before and I repeat: I will not allow internal strife to occur. Everyone must believe in the state and its legitimate institutions, as there is no salvation without them.
The security forces and the army are fully carrying out their duties to impose security and stability, despite the difficult circumstances they are facing and the limited resources available to them.
Citizens must also be partners in maintaining security and stability, and cooperate closely with the security forces and municipalities.
The state continues to work to ensure the means of resilience for the residents of the southern border areas, towns, and villages who have chosen to remain in their homes.
