Nidaa Al-Watan has learned that the meetings held by the Saudi envoy, Prince Yazid bin Mohammed bin Fahd Al Farhan, with a number of MPs and public figures focused on Lebanon’s internal situation. Al Farhan was primarily listening, but at the same time stressed the importance of internal stability, safeguarding it, preserving the existing balances, protecting Salam’s government, and implementing the Taif Agreement, particularly with regard to restricting arms to the state and extending state authority across Lebanese territory. The essence of his meeting with Sunni MPs did not differ from his meetings with other lawmakers, as he called on them to support Salam and Aoun and to rally behind legitimacy, since the current moment requires a unified stance and avoiding being consumed by internal disputes because the situation is dangerous.
