Minister Fadi Makki announced after his meeting with President Joseph Aoun that he had stressed the utmost importance of consolidating and expanding the ceasefire and ensuring that it is comprehensive and complete.
He affirmed that the ceasefire must mean a halt to all hostile acts without exception, including the destruction of homes in border villages and towns.
He noted that consolidating this course constitutes a fundamental gateway to the start of any negotiations, the protection of civilians, and the strengthening of stability.
