The Land Movement calls for a transparent investigation into the Adma Hill sale deal and demands full disclosure of all details

The Lebanese Land Movement said in a statement that it is following with concern what is being circulated بشأن the sale deal involving Adma Hill real estate, estimated at around 14,000 square meters, amid questions among residents and public opinion about its background, circumstances, and environmental and urban repercussions.

Citing what it described as citizens’ right to knowledge and transparency, the movement called on the Adma municipality, the Keserwan-Ftouh Municipalities Union, and the relevant political and parliamentary parties to fully disclose the details of the deal to the public, clarify the identity of the parties involved, and explain the nature of the project planned for the hill.

It also questioned the extent of compliance with legal, regulatory, and environmental procedures, in addition to assessing the potential risks to the area’s environmental, urban, and heritage character.

The movement stressed that Adma Hill represents part of Keserwan’s natural and heritage identity, considering that any project or deal that could undermine the environmental balance or the public interest must be treated with seriousness and responsibility.

In the conclusion of its statement, it called for a transparent investigation into everything being raised about the issue, and for residents and public opinion to be involved in any decision related to the future of the area and its environment, stressing that protecting the land is “a national and moral duty before it is a popular demand.”
