President Joseph Aoun condemned the Israeli attack that led to the killing of three Civil Defense personnel while they were carrying out a rescue and emergency mission today for those wounded in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a building in the town of Majdal Zoun and also resulted in the deaths of civilian citizens.
President Aoun said this attack adds to a series of assaults targeting relief and emergency workers, indicating that Israel continues to violate international laws and conventions that protect civilians, paramedics, Civil Defense personnel, the Red Cross, and those working in rescue, emergency response, and medical care.
President Aoun offered his condolences to the families of the three martyrs, to Civil Defense Director General Brigadier General Imad Khreiss, and to the fallen men’s comrades, praising the great sacrifices made by the Civil Defense and humanitarian, emergency, and medical bodies in Lebanon during this difficult period of its history.
