Taymour Joumblatt discusses development and service-related issues with visitors to Moukhtara

Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Taymour Joumblatt met at the Moukhtara Palace, as part of his weekly meetings, with popular and municipal delegations and social figures who discussed with him livelihood, service-related and development issues, in the presence of Democratic Gathering MPs Wael Abou Faour and Faisal Al Sayegh, PSP Secretary-General Zafar Nasser, and MP Joumblatt’s adviser Hossam Harb.

Among the most prominent delegations was a large group of displaced people from the villages of Nabatieh and Jabal Amel. Speaking on their behalf, Farouk Al Rakkeh thanked MP Joumblatt for his positions and the people of the Chouf region for their warm reception and treatment. MP Joumblatt also received a delegation from the town of Aqoura, represented by Boutros Mhanna, who thanked him for offering condolences over the death of the late Ghazi Adib Al Hashem, in addition to a delegation from Dhour El Choueir represented by Joseph Tabsharani.

Joumblatt also met a delegation comprising the heads of the municipalities of Deir Koucheh, Al Knisseh, Ammiq and Bchetfine, in the presence of former director-general of the Civil Servants Cooperative Anwar Daou, during which discussions focused on following up on road maintenance works. He also received the head of the municipality of Khraybet El Chouf, Walid Al Ashqar, mukhtars Sheikh Raed Abu Hamza and Kamil Habib, and members of the municipal council, alongside a large delegation from the town of Ain W Zain accompanied by municipal council president Marwan Al Hassaniyeh and mukhtar Kamal Al Hassaniyeh, where development and service demands were raised. The meetings also included a delegation from the town of Bsri accompanied by mukhtar Shafik Eid, a delegation from the Dhibyan family in Mazraat El Chouf, as well as Moukhtara municipality head Lina Sarkis and members of the municipal council. The party leader also discussed municipal and development files with the heads of the municipalities of Mazraat El Chouf, Kahlounieh and Baadaran, and received a number of petitions from citizens.
