Kulluna Irada after meeting with Salam: Support for direct negotiations and restricting arms ... the state option is the only umbrella for all citizens

Prime Minister Dr. Nawaf Salam received at the Grand Serail a delegation from the Kulluna Irada association headed by Ms. Wafaa Saab, in the presence of the association’s members.

Executive Director Diana Mneim said after the meeting:

"We announced our full support for Prime Minister Salam on the issue of direct negotiations and the government’s plans to restrict arms and extend the state’s sovereignty."

She added: "The discussion focused in particular on the negotiations set to take place in two days, on the progress in implementing the Beirut demilitarization plan, and on what the state is doing in terms of humanitarian response.

For our part, we stressed our commitment to the state option, and the importance of the state and its institutions playing an effective role in the coming phase, because they constitute the only umbrella for all citizens."
