President General Joseph Aoun met with the families of the State Security martyrs and offered his condolences for the killing of their sons in Israel’s shelling of the Nabatieh barracks:
Your sons are martyrs of the entire nation, and they are among the foremost reasons for Lebanon’s steadfastness, its determination to carry on, and its ability to overcome all the difficulties and challenges it faces. Their sacrifice will remain immortal.
The state stands by the families of the martyrs and by steadfast citizens, and it will not abandon them.
