A new round of Lebanese-American-Israeli talks is set to begin in Rome tomorrow, amid changes in the representation of the participating delegations, according to Al Jadeed TV.
According to the information, U.S. official Dan Haller will represent the American side in the negotiations, while the U.S. ambassador to Lebanon, Michel Issa, will be absent from this round due to his preoccupation with preparations for the anticipated visit of President General Joseph Aoun to Washington.
On the other hand, the Israeli side will be represented by Israel’s ambassador to the United States, Yechiel Leiter, who will take part in the two-day round in the Italian capital.
This round comes amid ongoing diplomatic efforts to address the outstanding issues between Lebanon and Israel, alongside the political moves and international contacts marking the current period.
