Flags lowered over the Grand Serail in mourning for Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani

In implementation of the memorandum issued by Prime Minister Dr. Nawaf Salam, the Lebanese flags flying over the Grand Serail were lowered to half-mast in mourning for the death of Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, who was described as one of Lebanon’s foremost friends and supporters.

This official measure comes as an expression of sorrow and appreciation over his passing, an affirmation of the depth of the ties binding Lebanon and the State of Qatar, and in recognition of the role Sheikh Hamad played in supporting Lebanon at pivotal moments.
