Legislative consensus on amending penalties and assigning a committee to draft an alternative proposal

The Administration and Justice Committee concluded its meeting devoted to examining the issue of abolishing the death penalty, unanimously agreeing to adopt the principle of eliminating this punishment and replacing it with life imprisonment.

It was also decided during the session to form a small subcommittee tasked with preparing a detailed legal draft of the proposal, in preparation for completing its discussion in accordance with legislative procedures.
