
The Minister of Interior and Municipalities, Ahmad Al-Hajjar, convened a meeting with the governors via video conference from the ministry’s central operations room. The meeting was held in light of the growing displacement crisis and as part of ongoing efforts to monitor measures taken to address the current situation amid the Israeli aggression against Lebanon.
During the call, Minister Al-Hajjar received a detailed briefing on the needs of shelter centers across Lebanon, particularly regarding the provision of essential supplies for displaced families.
He emphasized the necessity of continuously monitoring the conditions of shelter centers and maintaining constant coordination between governors, municipalities, relevant agencies, and the Disaster Management Unit at the Grand Serail to ensure dignified humanitarian conditions for the displaced.
Minister Al-Hajjar reaffirmed the ministry’s full readiness to respond to any potential field developments and stressed the importance of continuing to implement necessary measures to safeguard citizens and provide support to families forced to leave their homes.
