Behind the Scenes of the Rome Negotiations: Progress in Discussions and Lebanese Answers Expected on Wednesday

Information obtained by LBCI indicated that the latest round of talks in Rome saw a request from the Israeli side for clarifications related to the mechanism for implementing the “pilot zones,” with the Lebanese delegation set to present its response during the anticipated session on Wednesday.

According to the information, the two sides also discussed the possibility of forming working groups tasked with following up on the outstanding issues between Lebanon and Israel, while several proposed formulas remain under consideration in order to reach a joint working mechanism.

The information also indicated that the atmosphere of the meeting was marked by notable openness to the exchange of ideas and the presentation of proposals, leaving participants with a positive impression regarding the course of the negotiations and the possibility of achieving progress in the upcoming rounds.
