
During his meeting with Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani in Doha, Hussein bin Abdullah II stressed the need to strengthen joint efforts to contain regional tensions and reach sustainable solutions that restore stability.
During the meeting, held at the Amiri Diwan, the Crown Prince conveyed Abdullah II’s greetings to Sheikh Tamim, who in turn asked him to convey his greetings back, underscoring the depth of bilateral relations between the two countries.
According to a statement by the Petra News Agency:
"During the meeting held at the Amiri Diwan in Doha, he conveyed the greetings of King Abdullah II to his brother Sheikh Tamim, along with his wishes for his continued good health and well-being. The Emir of the State of Qatar also asked the Crown Prince to convey his greetings to the King."
"The meeting addressed regional developments and reaffirmed the need to intensify Arab efforts in support of reaching a permanent ceasefire, and to resort to dialogue and diplomacy to end conflicts."
The Jordanian Crown Prince also stressed:
"Jordan’s full solidarity with sisterly Qatar and the Gulf states," affirming that "the security of the Arab Gulf states is central to the region’s security and stability."
For his part, Sheikh Tamim affirmed:
"His appreciation for the Kingdom’s positions and its solidarity with the State of Qatar," stressing the importance of "continuing coordination and consultation regarding regional developments in a way that contributes to de-escalation and the consolidation of security and stability."
Upon his arrival at Doha International Airport, the Jordanian Crown Prince was received by Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani, along with Jordan’s ambassador to Qatar, Zaid Al Lozi.
