U.S. President Donald Trump delivered a series of conflicting remarks regarding the Iranian file, combining talk of a possible imminent agreement with sharp threats, while also revealing details of what he described as a military operation inside Iran.
Trump said in statements to U.S. media:
"If Iran does not reach an agreement, and quickly, I am thinking about blowing everything up and taking the oil."
He added:
"The United States sent weapons to protesters in Iran, but it seems the Kurds have taken them."
In a post on the platform "Truth Social," Trump wrote:
"Tuesday will be the day of power plants and the day of bridges, all in one day, in Iran.
Open the damn strait, you bastards, or you will live in hell—just watch."
In another context, Trump spoke about a military operation inside Iran, saying:
"We rescued, from deep within the mountains of Iran, a member of an F-15 crew who was seriously injured and truly brave.
He continued:
"The enemy was fierce and large in number during the rescue operation that took place in Iran for American pilots.
The Iranians thought they had captured the American pilot, but that was not the case at all.
A rescue operation has never occurred in such a hostile area; it is usually not carried out because it is considered impossible.
Iranian forces were searching intensely for the American officer, in large numbers, and were getting closer to him."
These statements come amid rising tensions between the United States and Iran, with anticipation over potential developments that could impact relations between the two countries and the broader region.
