The Secretariat – Media Office of the Supreme Judicial Council issued a statement regarding remarks made in the evening broadcast of MTV News on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, and in an article published in Nidaa Al-Watan newspaper on April 1, 2026, both of which addressed a case pending before the Public Prosecution.
The statement added: “The Supreme Judicial Council emphasizes that strengthening the rule of law can only be achieved through an independent judiciary that enjoys the trust of citizens and litigants. This requires refraining from attacking or defaming the judiciary, especially for personal aims or interests whenever a decision, ruling, or measure conflicts with the interest of a litigant.
Everyone still has access to the various legal means available to appeal or challenge what they consider unjust.”
The Council concluded: “While reiterating the need to abide by the law and respect judicial procedures, decisions, and rulings, the Council has decided to request that the Public Prosecution carry out the necessary legal actions in this regard.”
