Minister of Interior and Municipalities Ahmad Al-Hajjar held a remote meeting this evening with the governors, and also contacted the Director General of the Internal Security Forces, Major General Raed Abdallah, to discuss the measures and procedures that must be taken in line with the ceasefire agreement.
During the meeting, Minister Al-Hajjar called for “heightening readiness and taking the necessary measures to preserve security and regulate traffic movement across the various Lebanese regions,” stressing “the need to assist residents and stand by them at this stage.” He also underscored “the importance of remaining at the highest level of readiness and full coordination with the Lebanese Army.”
