The parish priest of Dibl, Father Fadi Felfli, issued an appeal via MTV to “peace actors to protect civilians in the Christian border villages in the south, especially after Israel targeted citizen George Saeed and his son Elias, who were martyred just hours ago.”
He added: “Unfortunately, innocent people are paying the price of the war. We call for our protection, especially during our passage through the humanitarian corridor between Dibl and Rmeish, which Israel has closed. We are awaiting permission to cross and transport the coffins to Dibl to hold funeral rites and bury the two martyrs.”
