Phone call between Rajji and his British counterpart… Lebanese emphasis on a comprehensive ceasefire and an initiative to de-escalate

Foreign Minister and Minister of Emigrants Youssef Rajji wrote on his account on the X platform:

I received a phone call from British Minister of State for the Middle East and North Africa Hamish Falconer, who expressed his country’s readiness to help curb the escalation, while I stressed that Lebanon is seeking to reach a comprehensive and lasting ceasefire, coupled with Israel’s withdrawal from the occupied villages, paving the way for the Lebanese state to fully restore its sovereignty over its territory.
