Aoun returns from Ankara after meeting Erdogan and invites him to visit Lebanon: Turkish aid for the army and new cooperation projects between Lebanon and Turkey

President Joseph Aoun returned from Ankara after talks with President Erdogan that addressed the general situation in Lebanon and the region, bilateral relations, and cooperation between the two countries in various fields.

In this context, the discussions included Turkish assistance in several areas, including army training, equipment and materiel, and prefabricated housing to facilitate the return of the displaced, as well as Turkish interest in the fields of electricity, النفط, infrastructure, and air transport.

The talks also covered the free trade agreement, the work of the joint committees, and Turkish coordination to involve Lebanon in joint projects in railways and ports.

At the conclusion of the visit, President Aoun invited President Erdogan to visit Lebanon. Erdogan thanked him and promised to accept the invitation.
