Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held a phone call with his Saudi counterpart, during which they discussed the latest developments in the region amid mounting regional tensions, according to the Iranian Foreign Ministry.
During the call, both sides stressed the importance of continuing the diplomatic track between the two countries and enhancing cooperation among regional states in a way that helps reduce tensions and prevent the situation from sliding into further escalation.
The two foreign ministers also underscored the need to intensify regional coordination and dialogue, considering it a fundamental option for ensuring stability and safeguarding the region’s security.
