Hezbollah issued the following statement:
Hezbollah categorically and unequivocally denies the false and fabricated claims and accusations issued by the Syrian Interior Ministry regarding the alleged link between a cell arrested in Syria and Hezbollah. It reiterates what it has repeatedly announced: that it has no presence inside Syrian territory and carries out no activity there of any kind or form.
While Hezbollah rejects these accusations in their entirety, it expresses surprise at the repeated insistence on dragging its name into every security incident, as if there were a systematic attempt to hold it responsible for any event with the aim of tarnishing the image of the resistance and its primary and sole role, which is confronting the Israeli enemy in defense of Lebanon and its people.”
