The Syrian Interior Ministry announced, according to the state news agency SANA, that it had foiled what it described as a sabotage plot aimed at launching rockets across the border, in a joint security operation carried out by Internal Security and the General Intelligence Service.
A ministry source said preliminary investigations showed the involvement of a cell it said was linked to Hezbollah, noting that it had been planning attacks that would threaten regional stability.
