A Step on the Path to Rapprochement... Syrian Arrangements to Receive the Anticipated Lebanese Delegation

In a preliminary step ahead of the anticipated visit of a Lebanese delegation to Syria in the coming days, Syrian Minister of Economy and Industry Nidal al-Shaar discussed with the chargé d'affaires of the Syrian embassy in Lebanon, Iyad al-Hazzaa, the logistical preparations and the schedule of meetings set within the visit program.

The meeting addressed ways to ensure the success of the anticipated talks, in a manner that opens new horizons for strengthening economic and industrial cooperation between the two countries, activating coordination channels on shared issues, and exploring partnership and investment opportunities that serve mutual interests.

Both sides stressed the importance of the visit in pushing Syrian-Lebanese relations toward greater cooperation and openness, and in strengthening the economic partnership in line with the aspirations of both countries in the coming المرحلة المقبلة.
