U.S. President Donald Trump said today that his country had carried out what he described as an operation that led to the “complete destruction of the Iranian military.”
He explained in his remarks that “Iran has no navy and no air force, and that has been completely destroyed and the leaders have been killed,” adding that “we are engaged in a small military skirmish, and Iran has no chance and never had one.”
In the course of his remarks, Trump indicated that “the regime in Iran is made up of mentally ill people, and we will not allow madmen to obtain a nuclear weapon.”
He concluded by saying that “we are doing very well on the Iran file, and our priority is American national security.”
