Syrian-Qatari meeting in Doha discusses strengthening cooperation and regional developments, chaired by Ahmad al-Sharaa and Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani

President Ahmad al-Sharaa met today in Doha with His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar.

The two sides held a meeting attended by Foreign and Expatriates Minister Asaad al-Shaibani, Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, and a number of officials from both countries. They stressed the importance of bilateral relations and their development across various fields, particularly in the economic and investment sectors, as well as strengthening trade connectivity.

The President also renewed Syria’s solidarity with the State of Qatar and the Arab countries that were subjected to Iranian attacks. The meeting also addressed the latest regional and international developments and ways of coordination to preserve the security and stability of the region.
