
Prime Minister Dr. Nawaf Salam received Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel-Aati, accompanied by Egypt’s Ambassador to Lebanon Alaa Moussa.
The Egyptian Foreign Minister affirmed that Egypt stands by Lebanon politically and humanitarianly, noting that his country has provided 900 tons of relief aid, and that this shipment is just the beginning, with readiness to provide more. He also highlighted Egypt’s significant diplomatic efforts to halt escalation in the region and in Lebanon, reiterating his country’s support for the decisions of the Lebanese government.
For his part, Prime Minister Salam thanked Egypt for standing by Lebanon and for its mediation and de-escalation efforts, emphasizing the seriousness of the Israeli Defense Minister’s statements regarding the occupation of southern Lebanon up to the Litani River.
