Beirut MPs after the Baabda meeting: A weapon-free Beirut is a shared demand... and the state is at the heart of the wager

MP Ghassan Hasbani, speaking on behalf of a delegation of Beirut MPs after meeting the President of the Republic in Baabda:

- We briefed President Joseph Aoun on the outcomes of the “Beirut Free of Weapons” conference.

- We reaffirmed our support for the state, the President of the Republic, and the legitimate institutions.

- We proposed a set of points related to stricter enforcement of the laws.

- We conveyed the concerns of Beirut’s residents and their aspiration for the city to be a weapon-free zone.
