Reuters reported that the Iranian response to the U.S. proposal included a clear focus on ending the war on various fronts, with particular priority given to the Lebanese file and related developments.

In the same context, the ISNA news agency said that the Iranian response also stressed the need to guarantee maritime security in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz, as part of any understandings or regional arrangements currently under discussion.
