The Iranian foreign minister affirmed that his country rejects any military approach to resolving issues related to it, stressing that Tehran “stands firm in the face of threats” and will not back down under pressure.
He noted that escalation and threats will yield no results, arguing that any attempt to test Iran militarily again would lead to “the same failure previously suffered by the other side,” as he put it.
He added that addressing the outstanding issues with Iran must be done through political and diplomatic channels, not through military confrontation, noting that the recent war marked a “turning point” in the region and contributed to strengthening his country’s regional position.
He concluded by emphasizing that the current phase requires Iran to consolidate its presence and role in the region in a broader and more influential manner than before.
