Attention will turn tomorrow, Tuesday, to the opening of bids related to the reactivation of President Rene Moawad Airport (Qlayaat), in a pivotal step along the path to reviving this vital facility in northern Lebanon.
According to media reports, 18 companies took part in the tender, but the actual competition has now been narrowed to just three companies, after the criteria and conditions set out in the tender specifications led to the exclusion of a large number of submitted bids.
The next phase is expected to be decided based on the final evaluation of the qualified bids, amid anticipation over the outcome of this process, which is considered essential to the airport’s operational file and its relaunch.
