Washington: Israel Says Its Dispute with Lebanon Is Limited to Hezbollah, U.S. Calls for Start of Negotiations

Al Jadeed’s correspondent in Washington reported that Israeli official in charge of negotiations with Lebanon, Ron Dermer, told the U.S. administration that "Israel’s only problem is with Hezbollah and not with Lebanon."

The report added that the U.S. administration sees it in the interest of both Israel and the U.S. to start negotiations in Lebanon, although disagreements over the details remain, while Israel insists on "holding them under fire."
