Pakistani-Saudi call stresses need to contain escalation and urges giving mediation a chance

Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry announced that the foreign minister held a phone call with his Saudi counterpart, during which they discussed regional developments and the ongoing escalation in the region, expressing deep concern over its repercussions for security and stability.

The two sides affirmed that a renewed conflict serves no party’s interests, warning that continued escalation would undermine efforts aimed at achieving peace and stability in the region.

Pakistan’s foreign minister called on all parties to exercise the utmost restraint and allow space for mediation efforts and diplomatic solutions to contain the crisis and prevent the tensions from spreading.
