
Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly affirmed that the state is continuing to monitor preparations for Egypt’s hosting of the 2027 African Games, describing it as a major sporting event that serves as a qualifier for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games.
Madbouly noted that the government is giving increasing attention to the youth and sports sector by working to develop sports infrastructure, support Egyptian national teams and clubs, and provide the appropriate environment to achieve the best results and raise the level of competition.
The prime minister stressed that efforts are ongoing to address the challenges facing sports clubs and to provide the necessary facilities to ensure their stability and strengthen their role in serving the sports movement.
He pointed out that Egypt possesses advanced sports facilities built to international standards, in addition to extensive experience in organizing major tournaments, which enhances its ability to deliver a successful and distinguished edition of the African Games.
Madbouly affirmed that the state will continue implementing plans to develop the youth and sports sector and maximize the use of sports facilities, in line with Egypt’s vision of supporting sports and turning it into one of the pillars of national development.
