Iranian Foreign Ministry: The American side rejects the Iranian proposal at this stage

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei announced that the American side had informed Tehran of its عدم الموافقة on the Iranian proposal currently on the table at this stage, noting that his country would receive a more precise assessment of the U.S. position through approved channels and mediators.

Baghaei stressed that Iran rejects what he described as “maximalist demands” related to its nuclear program, considering them “unrealistic and unjust,” in his words.

He pointed out that talks between the two sides have not, at this stage, addressed the details of the nuclear file, amid the faltering of previous rounds with Washington, attributing this to what he described as the United States’ “irrational” approach, which has prevented any progress in the negotiation track.
