
The administrative board of the Lebanese Athletics Federation held a meeting at the federation’s headquarters in Dekwaneh, chaired by federation president Roland Saade, and attended by vice president Nehme Allah Bajani, secretary-general Dr. Wassim Houlie, treasurer Simon Battani, in addition to members Maria Kevorkian, Philippe Bajani, and Imad Al-Qaisi.
During the session, it was decided to maintain the previously set dates for the Lebanese Individual Championships for men and women, as well as the Federation Cup team competition (men and women), during the coming months of July and August. It was also decided to postpone the national age-group championships, which had been scheduled for May, to dates to be determined later.
In the same context, the federation approved the organization of a four-day athletics meet during May, distributed as follows: one day for running, one day for jumping, one day for throwing, and one day dedicated to relay races. The date will be set soon, with an official circular to be sent to clubs including the technical conditions, the meet program, and the participation form.
The federation also approved participation in the 3rd Arab Athletics Championship (Under 23) and the 1st Arab Athletics Championship (Under 16), scheduled to be held in Ismailia, Egypt, from June 20 to 25, 2026.
