Trump: “We will know the chances of success of the talks with Iran within 24 hours”... and “warships are being equipped with the latest munitions to resume strikes if they fail”

US President Donald Trump told the New York Post: “We will know the chances of success of the talks with Iran within about 24 hours.”

He indicated that “warships are being supplied with the best munitions to resume strikes if the Pakistan talks fail.”

He added, “We are in the process of re-equipping our ships with the best weapons, even better than what we used previously when we destroyed them.”

He continued, “We are dealing with people we do not know whether they are telling the truth or not. They tell us to our faces that they will get rid of nuclear weapons, then tell the press that they will enrich uranium.”

He stressed that “reopening the Strait of Hormuz is a key element in any ceasefire agreement.”
