Intelligence assessments reported that Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei is still receiving treatment for severe burns covering an entire side of his body.

They added to CNN that "communication with Mojtaba Khamenei is intermittent and takes place only through a trusted intermediary."

The assessments indicated that "Khamenei is involved in shaping the war strategy, and his role has not helped end the Iranian divide."
