Trump announces a limited truce between Russia and Ukraine accompanied by a prisoner exchange and peace talks

Donald Trump announced that there would be “a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine for three days starting on Saturday,” explaining that “the ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine will include a suspension of combat operations in addition to the exchange of 1,000 prisoners from each country.”

Trump indicated that “talks are continuing in order to end this conflict between Russia and Ukraine, the largest since the Second World War.”
