Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that “threats issued by the United States and the lack of trust in its positions constitute a major obstacle to ending the war and reaching any political agreement.”
In remarks, Araghchi pointed out that “the source of the current tension in the Strait of Hormuz region stems from what he described as the US and Israeli military aggression against Iran,” holding Washington and Tel Aviv responsible for the rising tensions in the region.
He added that “the continuation of pressure and escalation policies by the United States would obstruct any efforts aimed at containing the crisis and opening a diplomatic path toward political solutions.”
