U.S. President Donald Trump announced an extension of the ceasefire with Iran, stressing that the decision will remain in effect until the Iranian side presents a clear proposal, as talks between the two sides continue.
He indicated that the step is intended to give the negotiating track a chance, without any relaxation in military preparedness.
He added: "I have instructed our armed forces to maintain the blockade, remain on high alert, and be ready to move."
