Kataeb Party leader MP Sami Gemayel wrote on the X platform: "On April 24 of every year, we commemorate the Armenian Genocide, the Sayfo massacres, and the famine of Mount Lebanon, along with all the persecution, crimes, and attempts to erase the existence and identity of Christians and our people in this land. We recall these moments to affirm that history clearly shows that all regimes founded on occupation, oppression, the perpetration of massacres, and the elimination of the other have ultimately vanished, no matter how long they lasted. By contrast, nations built on recognizing the other and respecting their history, particularity, and rights have endured. This is the course of history: no injustice endures, and no memory is erased. Today, with all that we are living through and witnessing, these truths are more evident than ever."
