Sources familiar with the matter told the American site Axios that the U.S.
Department of Defense is preparing a set of military scenarios to be presented to President Donald Trump. These include what the sources described as a "decisive strike" against Iran through a wide-scale air campaign, with the possibility of deploying ground forces if necessary.
The sources explained that the proposed plans involve seizing strategic locations, including the islands of Kharg, Larak, and Abu Musa, as well as seizing ships used for exporting Iranian oil. This is part of a strategy aimed at intensifying economic and military pressure on Tehran and establishing new power balances in the region.
