Lebanon’s Higher Relief Commission announced in a statement that it had received, via an air bridge from Greece, a shipment of medical and relief supplies weighing around 7 tons, donated by the Greek state and the Lebanese community there, through Beirut’s Rafik Hariri International Airport, in the presence of the consul, the military attaché, and a delegation from the Greek embassy, alongside representatives of the commission.
In a related development, another aircraft arriving from Russia landed at the airport carrying about 26 tons of humanitarian and relief aid allocated to the Lebanese Civil Defense Directorate General, as part of efforts to support its field capabilities and emergency response.
