President Aoun Reviews Outcomes of Beirut Governor’s Paris Meetings, Emphasizes Financial Sector Stability

President Michel Aoun was briefed by the Governor of the Central Bank of Lebanon, Kareem Saeed, on the discussions held in Paris last week, particularly with the International Monetary Fund and the French Treasury, as part of preparations for the upcoming IMF Spring Meetings in April 2026.

Governor Saeed outlined the key points addressed during these meetings, stressing the importance of continuous coordination with international partners and adopting a realistic and balanced approach for the upcoming period.

The discussions also covered the precautionary measures taken by the Central Bank, with Saeed emphasizing that the bank implements all necessary steps under current circumstances to maintain monetary stability and ensure the continued efficient and reliable functioning of the financial system.
