Technical test of warning sirens at the Port of Beirut on Sunday afternoon

The Beirut Port Authority and Investment announced that it will conduct, on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at 5:00 p.m., a technical test of the port’s warning siren system, as part of measures aimed at ensuring the system’s effectiveness and operational readiness.

In a statement, the authority explained that the test comes ضمن periodic preparedness procedures and technical follow-up, stressing that it is purely experimental in nature and should not cause any concern among citizens or residents in the surrounding areas during its implementation.
