Al-Mourabitoun: “Beirut has been and will remain the guardian of legitimacy… and there is no justice without a law applied to الجميع without exception”

The Beirut Governorate Council of the “Independent Nasserite Movement – Al-Mourabitoun” called for accelerating the course of the judicial investigation entrusted by Prime Minister Nawaf Salam into the Saqiet al-Janzir incident, which led to a state of public tension in the capital amid what was described as ill-judged assessments and actions.

The statement stressed that Beirut, “the capital of the الوطن,” has long served as a cradle of legitimacy and a key supporter of the Lebanese Army and all other security agencies, while at the same time affirming its rejection of any attempts to obstruct the course of justice or circumvent the application of the law, on the basis of full equality without any exception or double standards.
